Storytelling has always been an important aspect of African culture and acts as a preservative of our history and wisdom. With that said, would we be any more excited to come across a new short story series on the horizon dubbed Lindiwe And The Maniac?

The series is based on a real-life character named Mercury, who is known to recite poetry on stage while adorning a black Guy Fawkes mask. The masked poet made his debut in 2018 at Lusaka based poetry platform, Poets Spring, and since then has gathered an aura of mystery around himself that has people asking who this masked poet is and what he stand for. Well, looks like this series will finally answer those questions.
The authors also revealed that the first episode of the series will be a gift to the audience and will be available for free download while the subsequent episodes will be sold via payments methods that will be announced later on.
The synopsis of the series is as follows:
Lindiwe is an ordinary university student whose life is turned upside down when she encounters a mysterious masked man who obsessively wishes to teach her valuable life lessons with the most unconventional and maniacal means imaginable.
We were promised to expect a twisted tale that may be uncomfortable for some and eye-opening for others, but ultimately, this series is meant to be raw, provocative and somewhat unpredictable.
